About Reliable World Trade Co., Inc.

The “World Trade” in our name reflects our roots as an import/export company. As a small, minority, woman owned business established in 1979 by Eleanor Wilson, Reliable World Trade began importing/exporting products and uniform accessories and evolved into manufacturing military uniform accessories as the business grew over the next three decades.

Reliable World Trade began supplying medal sets, metal rank insignia and qualification badges/pins for the Department of Defense. Yet, our deep concern for the environment and awareness of the potential negative impact of chemicals used in the manufacturing process, kept us from expanding the metal insignia side of our business. When the demand for embroidered insignia grew after 9-11, it became our focus. We began manufacturing embroidered insignia under hallmarks received from the Army’s Institute of Heraldry.

Recognition

We are an approved supplier for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) on uniform accessory items and were the designated supplier of AAFES belts and buckles for almost a decade as a result of our product quality and superior service.

We were the initial manufacturer/supplier selected by the Department of Defense (DOD) of Distinguishing Nametapes for the US Army Combat Uniform (ACU). We have since produced ACU Rank and Shoulder Sleeve Insignia for the DOD.
